ANIMATED] REVIEW:
Row Three.com gave RPB Animated an amazing review: "Quite some time back, I had the opportunity to check out a short film entitled B R O K E N by writer/director Alex Ferrari. It was an amazing feat for such a small budget short film with great action, great kills and an interesting and “I wanna see more” type of storyline. So when Alex let me know about his newest film, this time an animated film entitled Red Princess Blues, I was more than eager to have a look."

[RPB
ANIMATED] INTERVIEW:
Cinema Crazed.com did a really cool interview with Paula, Alex and Dan. "Most recently, director Alex Ferrari has been pushing to fund his project "Red Princess Blues" and along with a bevy of crew members from Numb Robot, he's pushed to fuel his potential film franchise and hopefully we'll be granted another splatter series of "Kill Bill" proportions. Ferrari along with director Dan Cregan continue their strategic push for film funding by creating a short introduction into the universe of Princess, with "Red Princess Blues: The Book of Violence" an animated action short showing our title character as a child learning the tricks of her trade and gaining a fascination with knives, which Ferrari hopes will be the jumping point and potential hook for buyers and producers.
He is not alone though, as he has gifted Special effect supervisor and storyboard artist Dan Cregan who took it upon himself to grab the preamble to the film series and hopefully spark interest creating an eye catching and exciting prologue to bait potential fans hoping to see more. As well, Ferrari and co. have movie star Paula Garces at the helm."

[RPB
ANIMATED] REVIEW:
The World's Greatest Critic gave RPB Animated an killer review: "What The Book of Violence is may not be what the viewer will expect. While avoiding spoilers, I can say that again one of Ferrari's works has left me wanting much more. However, the reason for this is that The Book of Violence really amounts to more of an animated trailer for the upcoming release of the live action feature Red Princess Blues. In that respect it more than does its job as one would be hard pressed to find a viewer not yet ready for more of this story after The Book of Violence's seven minute run time has elapsed."

ANIMATED] REVIEW:
Dark Matters.com gave RPB Animated an really coolreview: "As my dear mum said to me at an early age "everyone has violence in them", it just seems that ‘Princess’ voiced by Paula Garcés has more than most though – she’s the 12-year-old star of this stunning short animated prequel to the forthcoming full feature film ‘Red Princess Blues’."

[RPB
ANIMATED] ARTICLE:
Animation Magazine did an article on RPB Animated:"The Japanese model of using beautiful artwork to get away with fairly limited animation served Alex Ferrari well for his new short film, Red Princess Blues Animated: The Book of Violence. The anime style also suited the theme of this adult-oriented film about a 12-year-old girl who discovers a bloody tome that leads her on a quest for vengeance. Ferrari intends to make a feature film based on the seven-minute short, which has been submitted to a number of festivals and should be making the rounds soon."

[RPB
ANIMATED] REVIEW:
Kevin Smith's Mega Movie Site Quick Stop Entertainment did a really cool review: "What makes RED PRINCESS BLUES a delight is the use of Paula’s natural voice talent as it pertains, and as it’s juxtaposed against, to our young hero’s predilection for violence. It’s not that we’re already talking about a girl younger than most middle schoolers, but it’s her story and the obfuscation of what’s really going on that keeps the viewer wondering what is really happening. Good, don’t tell me everything; I think it’s the one thing that mires so many lesser talented filmmakers who think that everything needs to be set up and explained within the first five minutes of a film."

[RPB
ANIMATED] REVIEW: ENTERTAINMENTOPIA
"Independent director Alex Ferrari’s long gestating live action Red Princess Blues looks to be on the right track if the animated prequel Red Princess Blues: Animated is any indication. Inheriting the dark, ominous style infused in previous works like Cyn and BROKEN, and a story that seems to impose more questions than answers in the outset, there’s a lot to like here, albeit based on seven and a half minutes of animated footage..."

ANIMATED] REVIEW: CINEMA CRAZED
"Okay, so here the dealio: Alex Ferrari, one of my current favorite indie directors is hoping to create his first big budget, or moderately budgeted action thriller, and has with him a pretty good star in the way of the luscious Paula Garces. Ferrari made “Cyn” which was a sort of prequel, and now we have the animated short “Red Princess Blues” which is a seven minute short being shopped around as a potential launching point for a live action revenge action thriller named “Red Princess Blues.” And you know what? I think Ferrari may pull it off..."

ANIMATED] ARTICLE: TWITCH FILM
"We reported back in June on writer-director Alex Ferrari’s ambitious upcoming rape revenge feature Red Princess Blues, slated to star Paula Garces from The Shield. Well, one aspect of the project then in the works was an animated prequel - featuring the voice talents of the live action cast - and word has just come down from Ferrari, who serves as writer-producer on this with the directorial and animation duties passed on to Dan Cregan, that the animated project is now complete. Titled Red Princess Blues: The Book Of Violence the goal is to get this out on the fest circuit before making it publicly available but a trailer is now available, which you’ll find in the Twitch Video Player embedded below the break..."

FEATURE] INTERVIEW:
The
great guys over at Film Guru.net did
a kick ass interview with me about Red Princess
Blues , Cyn and
my up coming projects. Here is a bit of what went down: Alex
Ferrari is a South Florida filmmaker who started in the business
doing post-production work. Aside from being an editor, he is also
an accomplished director. With his production company The Enigma
Factory Inc. he has entered the world of producing as well. Recently,
Alex started a visual effects company called Numb Robot which targets
the independent film community as well as doing high-end television
commercials and movie promotions. Alex first came to our notice
through his 2005 short film B R O K E N (www.whatisbroken.com).
FilmGuru.Net had a chance to talk to him, despite his busy schedule
as he works on a new feature Red Princess
Blues and a short film
called Cyn.

Todd Brown from the killer movie site TwitchFilm did
a bit on RPB Feature: "We've written about about director
Alex Ferrari in these pages in the past thanks to a pair of excellent
short films he's been at the wheel for. Well, Ferrari's ready to
make the step to features and here's what he's got coming: Billed
as a Violent Fairy Tale, Red Princess Blues is a 70's style exploitation
film slated to star Paula Garces from Harold and Kumar and The
Shield. It's a revenge picture, of course, and will be built around
physical effects, stunt work and set pieces in such memorable locations
as a whorehouse named The Dirty Mexican."

some days of the week, but lucky for him he has the talent to back it up as proven
in his last project BROKEN which is still to this day in my top 3 indie films
ever watched. And I watch alot of indie films! This go around he has given us
two posters for Red Princess his first feature film."
